1922-P VAM-8 Doubled Tiara

Discovered by Jeff Oxman, February 1998.
This coin is a Top 50 Peace Dollar VAM.
8 II 3 · B2a (Doubled Obverse) I-4 R-5
Obverse II 3– Doubled die in 9 o’clock direction. Rays of light in tiara doubled on left side. Nose, lips and chin slightly doubled. L in LIBERTY doubled towards rim. N GOD WE, T of TRVST and designer’s initials doubled on left side.
Reverse B2a - Normal die.

1. Since VAM numbers are assigned by die classification, and not just by die pairing, multiple die pairings may exist.
