Obverse III2 47– Ear slightly doubled at left and right inside and at very bottom outside. Shallow diagonal die gouge from lower neck front up to chin front (Formerly VAM-1A). Thin curved die gouge from denticles up to second right star. Slight slant to date that is middle of normal lateral position.
Diagnostic - Die gouge at neck and second right star.
Reverse C3a - Shallow slanted die scratch below middle of tail feathers and short tick below second tail feather from right.
Same die as VAM-1C.
Comments:
1. VAM 1A became VAM 52 with die gouges neck front & right star plus doubled ear. VAM 1A was eliminated.
2. Saw examples of this and a VAM 1C1 side by side - they are different stages of the same die marriage - vampicker
