Obverse III2 1– Clashed die with partial incuse O of III O mint mark from reverse showing above right wreath leaf.
Reverse C3c– Medium III O mint mark set high. Clashed die with almost full raised E from LIBERTY on obverse below eagles tail feathers on left side and partial raised B at left of E and tip of R to right of E.

1. This stage runs from "no crack" up to the point where the forming crack passes the center point of the "R". Once Displacement is seen the coin is a Vam-1a2 EDS. This die state will prove to be much harder to locate!
