1882-O VAM-41 Doubled 88

41 III229 · C3a (Doubled 88) (181) I-2 R-5
Obverse III229– Doubled 88 in date with first 8 slightly doubled at left inside of both loops and at bottom right outside of lower loop. Second 8 slightly doubled at top inside of upper loop.

Comments:
1. A comparison of the VAM 41 with the VAM 15 convinces me that the two VAMs are the same. Both coins appear to have the same metal within the mint mark and both do have the die gouges, illustrated below, in the space by the Eagle's left leg. CLM 11/24/12
