1879-S VAM-56 PAF Reverse, Tripled Stars, Die Rust Spots on Wing Next to Leg

Discovered by Larry Briggs, May 2004.
This is a Reverse of '78 (PAF) coin and a Top 100* VAM variety.
56 III2 28 · B2a (PAF Reverse, Tripled Stars, Die Rust Spots on Wing Next to Leg) (184) I-4 R-7
Obverse III2 28 – Slightly tripled left stars and bottom of 18. Later die states have a long thin die break in cap fold.
Die markers– Polished area around initial M and vertical bar below eyelid.
Reverse B2a – Earliest die state, earlier than VAM-25.,unbroken R in TRUST

1. Hard to find,this is an extremely rare die.
2. Collector interest: High.
