1879-P VAM-75 Doubled 879, Master Die Chips Below 18

Discovery by Mitch Hill July 2011.
75 III2 65 - C3a (Doubled 879, Master Die Chips Below 18) (?) I-2 R-5
Obverse III2 65 - Doubled 879 with 8 at lower right outside of lower loop, 7 on serif of crossbar and left outside of 9 upper loop. 9 also has raised curved bar at top inside of lower loop that is possibly from doubled digit. Raised metal chips below 18 from master die and on working hub in denticle spaces and above. Appears on multiple years thru 1883.
Die Marker- Diagonal die scratch thru and above T in Liberty

1. Possibly a duplicate listing of 1879-P VAM-9, see the plate in the 2nd edition of the VAM book.
2. Additional Verticle thread like impression betweeb the Y and the Cotton Blossom
3. Strong lateral die scratches inside Ear
4. Heavy Polish lines over the entire Obverse in all crevices on Lady Liberty
