11 II3 - B2b (Lines in Wing) I-3 R-5 (R-4???)
Obverse II 3 – Normal die of 1878 P Type II with broken point off number 4 star on right (a hub defect).
Reverse B2b- Heavy lines at the bottom of the eagle's right wing and in the middle of left wing. CC mint mark at medium height and tilted slightly to right.
- Emission Sequence
- Obverse: 11
- Reverse: 11
- This interesting variety has deep die gouges throughout the reverse. The most noticeable is on the left side of the eagle as you look at it forming a "Z" shape in the lower wings. Gouges also crisscross the other wing with a cluster up in the top third region.
