What I like to collect:
It seems I've collected one thing or another just about my whole life. When I was 7 or 8, (1953 or 54) I started collecting World Stamps. That progressed to U.S. Stamps and U.S. plate Blocks, my favorite being the 4c "Project Mercury" issued in 1962. At that time and throughout my Teen years, I also collected Baseball Cards. (like most of us I'm sure)

By the time I was 10 or 11, I had started collecting coins from pocket change and putting them in the coin folders you could buy from the local drug store. Buffalo nickels and Mercury dimes were quite common along with Franklin halves and Washington quarters which were both still in circulation. Sometimes an occasional Indian Head cent would come along and when they did, they were always cherished!

When my Sister was married in Las Vegas in 1961, my Mom hit a Silver Dollar jackpot of 100 Morgan Dollars and along with Peace dollars, I've been an avid collector ever since!

I've also collected Wooden Shafted Golf Clubs and early Golf Balls, Gumball Machines, Firearms and at one time, was totally obsessed with HO scale model railroading!
Since moving to Arizona in October of 2014, I've become an avid fanatic of G scale railroading, primarily of the LGB type. I have at this time no actual layout but I'm seriously planning a circle train route in the spare room just below the ceiling. I'll let you know how it go's.
Yes I did it, got the ceiling R.R. in operation and it actually came out pretty good, thanks to the help of two good friends! Its still a work in progress, I'll try and post a picture soon.

Favorite VAMs:
I think some of my favorite VAMS, which most of the time don't qualify on their own as a Vam without another attribution present, are those with major Die Cracks or Die Breaks (maybe because they are also the easiest to spot)

Family Life:
My wife Jennifer and I have been Married 47 years (Nov. 2016.) We have raised four Children, Charles, Aaron, Robert and our surprise (as my wife calls her) daughter, Stephenie. (she was born 8 years after our last son) We have a Beautiful Grand Daughter from my first son Chuck and his wife Theresa, who was born in November 2007, her name is Maya.
UPDATE: We now have an addition to the family, on April 9, 2011 Theresa gave birth to our second Grandchild, Meysan Ryder, 7lb 8ozs. He's growing really fast at almost 20 lb now in just over 2 months!
