1878 S VAM 36 B DRAGON SCALES

Thanks to this great website, I was able to learn about different vams and what
to look for many years ago and as a result I was lucky to find a couple.
Her is an example, my 1878 S PCGSMS64 vam 36 B.

Thanks for the great photos. I wasn't sure what dragon scales are. All of the examples that I have seen to date, except yours, were blurry, or low resolution. Great pics! Nice find.

Most of your coins blow mine away so this is not sent as a comparator. I wanted to let you know that I have your coin's twin with me in the UK... Also a slabbed 64...

Let's not compare cracks because that gets a little personal (but I believe mine beats yours... at least if the light is just right... )

Thank you everyone, I was just lucky to have seen some extra scales and did some searching, through the 1878 S vams and found it.
Thank you keilg1, I had taken those pictures above a long time ago.
I was lucky to have found this coin today and took some more pictures.
Maybe the die crack doesn't go below the R enough to be a vam 36B.

I like this series! The 36A and 36 die#3 are very hard to find.
The 113 is still a wild card since it was only recently listed.

I have a sneaky suspicion that he has one (or more) already. If not, I'll gently remind him/us what the radial die crack looks like. This picture if from my NGC61 coin... not the best lighting (sorry) but a dandy when spaghetti is found on the back!?
