1921 Morgan - clashed reverse

Post by expat » Sat May 23, 2020 3:41 pm

Hi to all, hope you are all doing okay in these trying times. Good luck to you all from Spain.
This dollar has what looks like a clash directly below the tail feathers, A short dark rectangle in the centre and two thick verticals on either side of it stretching down to the bow, the furthest right of which has a die chip on the bottom of it.
Do any of you know what it is a clash of?
All comments welcome to further my knowledge.

I'm exceedingly skeptical about it being clashing of any kind. My hunch is a stain or grease, a planchet flaw, or some form of post mint damage.
When in doubt... don't.
