ONE MIGHT CALL IT "SEMI/OT"
Good evening vam fans, I've been trying to figure out a way to search, say EBAY, by a grade range, and I am failing miserably. You can search by a single grade (1921 S MORGAN DOLLAR MS63), but not by a range or multiple grade (1921 S MSD MS60 thru MS65). Any ideas?
Re: ONE MIGHT CALL IT "SEMI/OT"
On the grade box click on see "see all" and you can select any grade that is in the search
forgot to say, don't search for the grade just the date and mint
then select the grades you want to see
the list is filtered to only show grades available

I think that only works if the seller enters the grade on the information section though, right hawk. If the seller forgoes it and simply lists "MS-6x" in the title and/or description, those wont show in the filtered results.

If they are selling graded coins, eBay forces you to choose a grade and cert # if it's one of the recognized TPGS...CascadeChris wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 4:44 pmI think that only works if the seller enters the grade on the information section though, right hawk. EBay will usually kick-back any title with "MS-XX" in the title if it isn't certified. That's why you normally see "BU GEM PQ++++++++!!!!" on listings. MS usually gets rejected.

Ah, I haven't sold much on Ebay in so long. As an aside to pair with your comment though, it used to be that the number of +'s typically denoted the grade the seller was trying to convey ie GEM+++ is ms63 GEM+++++ is ms65 etcTheYokel wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 6:37 pmIf they are selling graded coins, eBay forces you to choose a grade and cert # if it's one of the recognized TPGS...CascadeChris wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 4:44 pmI think that only works if the seller enters the grade on the information section though, right hawk. Try something like "1921-S MS(60,61,62)" as your search string to return all 1921-S coins listed as MS60, MS61, or MS62.

Well on Ebay, KEY date is used on everything. I could post my lowballs as Key DATE, HIGH GRADE, RARE. So for a raw 63, most sellers would call that GEM. A minimum of three to four grades over actual.

Just as I figured, all of your ideas worked. I also plugged in some rarer dates to your equations, and came up with some very interesting results. Why didn't I ask this question sooner? New members-The only dumb questions are the ones that go unasked. Thanks again guys for your professional help.
