Hi JAy
The NGC label states 1888 S not a plain ( Philly ) . Must be a clerical error .
Because I would say it a MS64 tops due to the scratches . So I guess wrong coin in the holder from NGC

I really dont think so with all those cheek marks , Lets get some other People to
give a grade (suggetsion) , I personally was going a MS63 and that is due to the cheek marks . But hey Im not the Pro like some other people on this forum , So I defer to them .

Yes I got corrected on the NGC S stand for silver . LOL . I always get screwed up on this with NGC , They didnt really standardize the Space for the S ( Mint Mark vs the non space meaning Silver ) Just always screws me up . LOL , Im not a Big Fan of the NGC grades .
As you can see from my suggested Grade . Just have been disapointed with NGC as of late .

Yes I agree as well it's quite overgraded and I have no idea what they were thinking with the (+) as well? IMO it's a descent 64 topps. I'll upgrade sometime as theres a lot to choose from!

I can see a Plus grade for the reverse - it is pretty flawless except for right below the "god"
IMHO it should have been a technical 64 especially with the visual distraction of the cheek hash
and various other markings on the obverse.
64+ would have been an okay grade for this coin in my mind
Pretty coin
