1882,82,84-CC GSA Hoard & PCGS encased values

Post by ORGirl1! » Fri Jun 21, 2019 9:51 pm

Searching for a way to establish values for both GSA slabbed (box, SN, etc) and PCGS graded and encased over GSA slab VAM's. The PCGS are not VAM certified, only GSA Hoard and MS grade.

I generally only "hunt" raw coins due to budget/prices and recently have been loaned a few to "hunt". The hunt is easier when not looking through layer(s)!

Thoughts & suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

Thank you

Personally speaking, I value PCGS-graded GSAs slightly lower than NGC-graded GSAs, because they won't fit in the original GSA box. I've been told that lately there is no premium for common date GSAs in lower grades vs. those in PCGS or NGC holders. The exception is very high grade GSAs, such as 67, which apparently bring huge premiums. But I'm nowhere close to a GSA expert.
When in doubt... don't.

Ebay will give you a fairly good market price. Look at the completed listings.

I agree. eBay SOLD listings are the "real world" way to check, anything really. One can ask any price but the sold listings tell it all. It is in the advanced search area.. Good hunting. John
