Need help with this vam

Post by 68chevellelj » Fri Jun 07, 2019 11:23 pm

Ive found about 3 or 4 of these so i know its pretty common just dont know what its called. And one pic has 2 of them and vam by lettering. So just starting out collecting so in pic with error by wing with 1 L print is it the same vam if theres 2 L's. And vam by lettering. Would it be same vam anywhere on coin same spot different lettering? Almost every coin i have has a vam. Is that bad or better than regular coin

The die pair 'are' the VAM. Your coin does NOT have VAM's. Your coin has 'attributes' that can help in identifying which VAM you have. Pic #2 looks like die wear. Pic#1, #3 and #4 are clash marks. They are from the OBV and REV dies making contact with each other and leaving inprints of their design in the opposing die. My spelling suck's, sorry. Hope this helps...kenny
