1923-S VAM 1E1 and 1E2
Does anyone have any examples of 23S 1E1 and 1E2? I suspect that the file lines listed in 1E2 are present in the 1E1. There are no photos on the 23S 1E2 page to compare. If you have either, could you please post pictures of the shoulder spikes, UNITED and the area of R, T and the hair bun? Thanks.

Here is my 1923-S VAM 1E1 . IT is in a BLANCHARD Holder . File line tuff to get photo could be LDS .
File line at E R . Break to small to list a UNI , Spiked should is nice . Check file lines under OL of DOLLAR .
BLANCHARD Peace Dollar is the first Redfield hoard . I have 4 Blanchard holder coins.
VAM 1E1 , 1L ,, 1AX ,, 1BU .

Thanks for posting these. The file lines at the R on my coin are easily visible without magnification, so your coin clearly shows that the file lines come later. My coin shows a triple spike; I wonder if that clash that caused the left spike to be doubled is what necessitated the file work on the obverse? The fact that my crack is so small indicates that my coin might be an early die state of 1E2. The description of 1E2 should be revised to reflect the triple (or at least double) spikes.

The VAM 1E reverse was paired with 2 obverse dies. Notice the different file line on R of LIBERTY.
