1885-O Pierced ear?

1885-O Pierced ear?

I was looking at 85-O, when i noticed a strange anomoly by the ear.
Appears to be large die scratch by the ear, from the hair to the ear lobe and contiues under ear lobe.
IVE never seen anything like this before .
any help would be appreciaTED. TY in advance...

I don’t know how I missed that one.
Search for "1885-O" gouge ear and it comes right up. The wiki search function is often useful, especially since Leroy's vocabulary is pretty consistent. Don't neglect it. I know it has saved me a bunch of time.
