O.T. kind of.....

In my never ending search of the 1891 o VAMs, I discovered it best not to limit my searches on sites to just "Morgan dollars", or dollars, etc. Many times coins are listed in other categories (especially on E-bay) like antiques or other collectibles, or any other strange number of listings, so I usually just search by "1891". Of course this led to seeing a lot of other denominations being viewed and I took a liking to the 1891 Indian cents as they seemed to have a few varieties (DDO, DDR and overdates). I looked a long time but this one finally made it's way to my house..... a nice DDR.

A lot of eBay sellers do that so people can use eBay Bucks, coupon codes etc on coins & bullion that would typically be excluded if listed in their proper categories..

And some just plain post in the wrong categories. Happens to the best and most organized. The ones that get me are bust halves in early dollars. Twice I almost pulled the trigger on "an unlisted dollar" only to then note the base of the bust being that of the half. The "early" dollar category name also gets a number of Morgan and Peace dollars from sellers who think early=old and any coin a century or so old must be an early one.

The Mint location is often wrong too. Never rely on that filter. And some put listings in the wrong date and even have it wrong occasionally, though rarely, in the title.
