Nicely done. I do admit to cheating and looking at the name of your photo. Then I looked up the VAM. What can I say? I learned and I'm a Dark Side guy anyway. Thanks. It's a beauty. I like seeing honest wear.🐍

Didn't mean to give away the VAM - so renamed the photo to just include the date / mm

Thanks for the replies.... a little bit of the story... I have been looking for this VAM for a number of years, flipping over every 1891 o to look, hoping it was the one. The obverse markers of the 9a fade out prior to getting to becoming 9b, so it is difficult to spot from an obverse photo. I had only seen the one in a Long Beach sale (listed as an error coin) and a second example that was posted on VW back in 2008 or 2009. Discovery was in 2009 and I believe it is held by a coin company in Oklahoma. I spoke to them at the FUN show back in 2014, and was told they were hanging onto it. So the search began.

Finally after looking at more than a few thousand 1891 o Morgans, this one showed up on E-bay recently. I saw it about 2 hours after it was posted and sent the seller a message right away, hoping to get a buy it now option. No luck, so I placed a small bid and then began 5 days of agony..... waiting and watching, hoping it wouldn't get spotted. A couple of bids trickled in, but the price stayed low (junk silver value) Finally, down to minutes..... tick, tick, tick. I bumped my bid minimally in the last minute just to make sure my log-in was good and my computer working. LOL Last moment and I threw a bigger number at it. WOW, I won it!!!

Then the fun begins, waiting for delivery, hoping the right coin shows up...... I did notice the seller had a second 1891 o, very similar condition ending about an hour later that day. Not wanting to risk a mix-up, I bid that coin up a little, and won it. It actually cost me a dollar more than the 9B LOL Was thrilled to see both in the same package tracking through the postal service.... Sorry for the long story, but it was an eventful 2 weeks, and she made it home...... one nice thing was the cost.... $46 for both coins, free shipping..... Some good Morgans are still out there to be found!
