1878-P Broken first A in AMERICA?

Post by TVejr » Sat Jan 18, 2020 7:02 pm

I found information on the “weak/missing nostril”, but I haven’t been able to find any reference to a broken A. I don’t think the broken A is from damage. I’m new to VAMing so any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I'm leaning to post mint damage, metal pushed to the outer side of the A from a hit by something in the middle portion of the A

The A just shows damage to the coin. Looks like you have VAM 33, which is a 7/8 Weak.
