A Dozen VAMs for 2020

Post by vampicker » Sun Jan 12, 2020 11:17 pm

Here's this year's new list. The set is also live on the SSDC registry. Two sets are already under construction.
If you'd like to know why the pieces were chosen, David Lisot of Coin Television recorded my entire presentation including the bad jokes. Several of you caught my presentation in person at FUN. Thanks for attending.

Gotta luv the 1902-O VAM-45A. Should have been a WOW coin.

The 1903-O VAM-22 is nice to see on the list. But I am biased. Wish I could have been there :o

Truth be told Rob, I didn't stump for it at all. I just wanted to see if anyone would take notice. It is all good.

I like this group. But that might be because I have a couple.
I like the VAM-57. Its not easy to find.
But the 02-O 45A is really something special.

I almost never include new listings in the annual set as a true picture of rarity hasn't had time to emerge. I made an exception with the 03-O VAM 22 as I think the more widely known this becomes, the harder it will be to pry any of them loose.

...and it probably is pretty rare

For some fairly new discoveries, there is a compulsion to flesh out their rarities. Putting them on something like this annual list facilitates just that. It is a competitive APB/BOLO.

I've been hunting it for over a year, flipping hundreds of 03o's and nada. I'll probably run across one eventually and even if it's a 7 I'll buy it but I have a feeling you keyword picture pickers will have the best shot. Better be quick!

A few of my favorites on there. I still have only found 1 1903o v22, and have looked at lots of 03o’s. Same for that stinking vam45a.
