List of worn/over-polished dies?
List of worn/over-polished dies?
Is there a list of VAMs of coins struck from worn-out or over-polished dies, like 1883-O VAM 52A?
Having my own press and minting tokens I have been fascinated by things that can still be struck from dies that should have been retired long ago. I have purchased dollars when I see them, and would like to have a list if it exists. If not, I guess I could put one together.
Thanks in advance.

We can go on, especially for overpolished. To go along with your concave nod with v52A there is also the 82s v11a,35,36,37 and of course the 78p v14.4 off the top of my head
Let's start giving suggestions of severe Die wear / overpolished dies guys. We already have a list for the buffers I think. FYI, as far as buffers go, I recently picked up the 01p v20 in au58 for a friend. Hadn't seen such a high grade one before and DAAAAUM

Awesome! Thanks. Is there a list somewhere on how to find these "hidden" pages? It isn't listed in the directory.PacificWR wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 12:06 amClick on the link below for Over Buffed Dies. The list may not be up to date:

When I created that page it was on the definitions page
But know the buffed reverses is a blank page
So I don't where it is located now.

88 O VAM 1J is a pretty cool buffed reverse too.

Go to the home page and scroll down past the VOTW info. The link above is under "VAM List". The Definitions page is located under VAM References.

Thanks Wayne
Can we add the "VAM LISTS" to left task bar?

Re: List of worn/over-polished dies?
I added "Big List of Lists" to the sidebar. It is a little redundant, since it's also in the TOC of the home page. There's a limit to how much stuff can be put in the sidebar before it becomes unwieldy.
