1879-S VAM-33 Denticles

Post by Unc90o » Sat Jul 07, 2018 5:57 pm

There are really 3 stages for VAM-33.
EDS; which I found to be PL normally (VAM-33).
MDS; clashed and then polished out (VAM-33A).
LDS; clashed again and then polished out some more (VAM-33A), but left out remnant of lip clashed. Also exhibit light die cracks on Obv.

However, what I find more interesting is the denticle feature for this VAM, which by the way are not noted on the listing.

Obverse: gouge within denticle above IBUS of PLURIBUS.

Both 33 & 33A pages could be improved with full coin images, if you could had them.
