No, not good.
But not uncommon... and very much part of the coin learning curve.
When in doubt... don't.

It happens.

Keep a collection of your details to go back and learn from as you go. Grab a 30x to look for fine hairlines.

And to learn which ones might be worth a re-sub later down the line...

A strongly disagree about needing a 30x.
I know all of us here often deal in tiny aspects of our coins, but cleaning is either naked-eye visible or it's not.
When in doubt... don't.

This ^^^

If you see something on a coin tilting back and forth under a single light source about 12" from the coin that makes you suspicious then investigate with a 5x, 8x or 10x loupe or glass depending on preference. Anything over 10x is complete overkill.

Personally, I use a 10x loupe with very good optics and a wider than typical field of view for almost everything. I do have a 20x with a narrow field but I seldom use it and it's only for things like OMM's or RPM's on smaller series, quarters and below.

I look for fine hairlines without magnification. I confirm them with a 10x if needed, but sometimes I just take my glasses off.
