I do hate it when people deform a Morgan Dollar, especially a 8tf, my favourite Morgan and the 1921 D.

A common numismatic practice is to engrave an 'X' on a coin the owner felt was counterfeit, thus forever protecting the community from this non-coin. Perhaps an overzealous previous owner missed the boat with this one. A crying shame.

I love that 1878 8tf. The designer based it on a British Growse, which has 8 Tail Feathers, then, they realise the American Eagle only had 7. oooops.

out of all coins ever designed and minted, the MORGAN has to be the best. So much American Wild West History related to this nostalgic coin.
