Has anyone seen a 12A gator with these cracks?

Post by CascadeChris » Mon Apr 29, 2019 5:54 pm

Thought this was neat. None of the 12A's I've that I can either remember or I have pics of show these cracks at the cap-V, nose bridge & cap-V clash on the rev following the wreath leaves. Wonder if they've developed into breaks and we just haven't found a super LDS yet. Also, for some reason, this one is making me go full-Yokel. GuEss its that timE of the month. SomEonE savE mEEE

From the clash, it looks like it would be closer to the bow?

Look at at from the steepest (from the side) angle you can manage and see if anything is raised on the surface. That E is out there...
"There is no E"...

Gotta have letter transfer to be VAM 12A. There's a bunch of later stage VAM 12's out there with the letters worn away. Being clashed doesn't make it a 12A, despite the comment on the page

unless you draw them on the holder yourself...

Didn't know that the gator was like the 83o 36 as an example and haven't visited the page in a while. Oops. Guess these cracks are known then since this stage still has the ST and a faint N tick.

CC, No, never seen one quite like that, but I'm here for another reason. A load of positive feedback for your photo array. Just think about this message without any pics. You were one of the members I was referring to the other night that was good about including photos in your discussions. I'll just bet that you enjoy their discussions more when they include pcs. I will be honored to help you spread the word. THINGS GO BETTER WITH PICS !!!!!
