LVA Package Question
I sent a package to Leroy the third week March. He cashed my check on March 23. Since then, nothing. At what point would it be acceptable for me to reach out by email to ask whether he had shipped it back yet? I am concerned about it disappearing while in the possession of the USPS. Has anyone else sent a package around the same time and received theirs back?
Thanks
Ray
Thanks

Re: LVA Package Question
I've been in a similar situation before and emailed him with a kindly reply a few days later apologising that he has it hut hes been backed up with coins or helping Marilyn etc. Dont worry. If he cashed the check he got it and a month wait is nothing this time of year when hes getting slammed with post-supplement submissions. He probably hasn't even gotten to your package yet. I've waited months before. Just give him time, forget about it and in anther month if you haven't got it back yet maybe then shoot him an email if you feel you must. I have never had a package sent to him or from him go missing.

Thanks, Chris. I just don't trust the USPS.

Re: LVA Package Question
Well put Chris! Waiting is not fun but there is nothing to be done for it. I still have not gotten my update!
Re: LVA Package Question
He cashed my check April 2, so I may be on page 2 of the waiting list.
When in doubt... don't.
Re: LVA Package Question
A couple years ago when Leroy was setting up his new computer stuff it delayed him. He sent me a postcard explaining the delay. That is a true professional. I got the coins back in a couple weeks.

Re: LVA Package Question
He cashed my check April 2 as well. Thanks for asking. I was starting to focus on that mailbox way too much lately.
Re: LVA Package Question
I just got the 2018 supplement yesterday, so it's taking him some time to deal with both those mailings as well as any new coins received. Patience is merited.

Re: LVA Package Question
Has anybody gotten back their March submissions yet? I am at 7 weeks since he picked it up from the post office (and cashed my check) and am getting a little antsy. Is there a time limit for filing claims with the post office if it had been mailed and met with an unfortunate end?

LVA is always loaded down after the supplement time .. Just slow down LVA will get it done..
It took pcgs 4mo to get a bulk submission done .

Re: LVA Package Question
I have no faith or trust in the post office. I was just asking if anyone received their March submission back yet to see if I need to be concerned about a potential theft.

If you sign up for My Dashboard and Informed Delivery through the USPS website, it will ask you to enter your primary address.
After that you can use your dashboard to view any and all packages with tracking being sent to your address whether the sender gave you the tracking number or not.
Then you'd know if it's lost in the system or still waiting to be sent. It helps to cut down the fear of the unknown when dealing with the USPS lol.
Have a great day boss,

Re: LVA Package Question
I would still be patient, however, I have learned that from being in very similar circumstances before. If it would put your mind at ease though, by all means shoot him a cordial email just saying that you're a little worried it may have been lost in the mail and if so knowing the sooner the better would be best to file an insurance claim, or something to that effect. BUT I'll bet you $100 bill that one or two days later he send you an email profusely apologizing for the delay explaining that he's been swamped and that your package is already on it's way back, will be on it's way back shortly, or your sub is very close in line for him to process.

Re: LVA Package Question
I expect that it is still sitting somewhere on his desk; I am just concerned about the slight possibility that it had been sent back and went astray. That's why I was asking if anyone else received their package back yet... if nobody has, then the likelihood is that it is on his desk and I just wait. If others have received theirs back, then it would warrant an email to LVA to check.

Re: LVA Package Question
Leroy doesn't send tracking numbers. You just get it when you get it. Which is a pain and can lead to creating situations like this but its understandable given his age and responsibilities, both personal and with the VAM stuff.

Nice work Ray.
Good to hear on the new DC's.
Are you going to post Leroy's letter later?
Also, were all DC's Peace Dollars?
