New to VAM. Patience please.
Do I have a die break in the reverse left field of this 21 Peace?
The coin is a bit beaten up but their definitely seems to be additional material.
Thanks,
Mike

Welcome to VAMWorld Mike. Looks like displaced coin metal from contact marks . AKA Post Mint Damage (PMD)

Thanks for the quick reply.
PMD was my first though also. But what has me wondering is the closest indention is seperate from the additional material. And the ray it is over continues on both sides of the material.
Attached is an increased contrast closeup. It's not a great picture, but does show the separation. More distinct when viewed with a loupe.
And I guess the followup question would be, is it a big deal if it is? Did the 21 Peace have a lot of die breaks because of the high relief?

Your new photo shows a different angle which projects the possibility of lamination error. Extremely difficult to judge a coin from a photo. One dimensional viewpoints are misleading!

Yeah, I can see that now that you mention it.
Thanks

I think it's a combination of damage and a small lamination.
