Bulk Submission for other denominations?

Post by VamHelsing » Sat Mar 02, 2019 5:22 pm

I have some quarters I'd like to send in, they're nicely toned but not high $ coins. Anyone
have any ideas or suggestions? I only have about 10 of them and it's not cost effective to
send them in at $20+ apiece for grading.

I've always wondered if @messydesk would do other denominations too. Not sure if he can but I would assume that if he has the option the other factor would be, in your case, he would need 100 quarters and I doubt he would satisfy that with a call here even if it could be mixed quarters of any series. If you want cost-effective while also big-3 ANACS is your best bet..

I could, and I have done an order of Franklin halves under bulk, but there was at least 100 coins in the order.

ANACS occasionally runs special pricing for customers who use ANACS.

Out of curiosity, does it have to be same series or just same denomination or same denomination/size? Take the quarters, can it be anything from capped to Washington all mixed in the same 100ct bulk?

Not sure. I'd have to check. Most likely for quarters it's going to have to be all Washington, while for halves, you'd be able to mix Franklin, Kennedy, and perhaps Walking Liberty. I'm just going by intuition here, but I'm thinking that you can submit stuff that may be found as uncirculated rolls. 1936 Washingtons, yes. 1820 Capped Bust quarters, no.

How about a 100 Jefferson nickel, that may come back as full steps, for example 1953 S, 54S, 70D, 70S, 45S, 55P.....etc

100 Jeffersons should work. If any tough FS dates were to be designated FS, I'm sure they'd make necessary adjustments. That said, if you have a coin like a 52, 53, or 53-S that has a solid shot at FS, it should probably not be sent under bulk.
