Re: 1902-O study dollar?

From here it looks like VAM-44. Probably to LDS to be a VAM-44B. Wonder if there is a die gouge on eagle's chest?

Re: 1902-O study dollar?

Oh I don't know. Let's see a straight on shot of eagle's left wing tip to denticles, below eagle's lower tail feathers, and Liberty's hair below LIB. Let's see what those tell us. But straight on photos please, no angles. While to are at it, let's see a straight on shot of eagle's right wing tip and...

Re: 1902-O study dollar?

Thanks for the compliment Lee. I spent too many years of my life and retirement fund to put those together

Re: 1902-O study dollar?

With little to go on, try checking the crack finders. There is always a PUP or two to help nail these buggers down, just maybe doesn't jump out at you. Try the crack finders first before we go off the deep end with this one.

If I had run across this coin with that planchet crack, I would have bought it in a heartbeat. Very nice example IMHO.

Take your pick, VAM-6.2 or VAM-6A. They are the same die pair.

Then seemingly you have a VAM-6A.

Re: 1904 O V-5 Here it is Late Date Morgan Man

I think you have it backwards. The reverse Die 2 does not have the polishing/scratches. Your coin has a spitting eagle (small die chip under eagle's beak), thus the same reverse as VAM-6A, i.e., VAM-6 Die Pair 2. Hope that helps.

Re: Covid Shots

Got my first Pfizer shot yesterday as well at 1:00 PM. So did my wife. Similar experience. I MAY have had a very slight headache last night. And I MAY had a very slight bout with the chills. It was chilly here in Orlando last night so not sure. Today, no issues for either of us. Typical arm soreness...

Had a great time. I didn't say much, but just seeing familiar faces and listening to the dialogue was FUN! Glad we did this, especially with the Italy connection!

Re: 1901-O VAM 34

Sometimes rarities don't expose themselves until after a test of time. But I am not sure this VAM would bring a huge premium. Likely I got it out of the bargain bucket at a local B&M, same as the 80 V1A2 I have in EF45. But not to confuse either coin with WR's 23A

Was rummaging thru some stuff this AM and found that I have a ANACS AU58 AOH VAM-34. Go figure.
