It's b-a-c-k; $275 openers.

20th time it's been listed, and 9th time the opening bid has been reduced.

Try 1BO. Yes indeed! And this is embarrassing... 1BO is my discovery. Only a blurry part of the line under the 9 is visible on my DC, but all the secondary markers are there. And, of course, my attribution problem started with 1BO not being in the Scribbles Guide. Thank very much for y...

This 1921-P D1 should be easy, but...

Great scribbles and a very distinctive line below 192 in the date, yet the scribbles guide has been of no help.
Possibly a new VAM?

Re: Morgan 1921-P VAM-101

My 101 (it has very bold scribbles) has several lines between the upper cotton leaf and the rightmost wheat leaf, but none are not as bold as the one you show.

Does your coin have these features:

Re: 1890 - large die crack across face

Does not look like a crack. Instead it appears to be a long, brutally deep gouge that left a raised furrow of metal in its wake.

Re: WTB: PCGS AU50+, AU55+, AU58+ Morgans

I assume you know how hard those are to locate..... Yes, I certainly do. I've managed to find a 45+ and a 53+, which I'm very happy about. The 58+ is the most numerous by far, but most are $$$ dates, and 55+ isn't much better. But if I don't raise my hand and ask, my chances of finding them...

WTB: PCGS AU50+, AU55+, AU58+ Morgans

Looking for 1 example of each weird grade. Doesn't need to be an attributed VAM. The hard part is, I want common-ish (yes inexpensive) dates. Things like 1879-CC, 1884-S, 1889-CC, 1892-CC, 1892-S, 1893-CC, 1893-O, 1893-S, 1894-P, 1895-O, 1895-S, 1896-S, 1903-S, 1904-S and rare VAMs are not what I'm ...

Re: 1934-S Vam3?

You need Dr. Close for this one, because I'm almost clueless about grading Peace dollars. My guess on this one is XF40 and the strike looks great to me. At that level, Greysheet for generic coins is $95. The PCGS Price Guide for a graded and attributed VAM 3 is $175. Heritage has sold just one examp...

Re: 1886 VAM 20 REPUNCHED DATE

Today saw the end of his 18th auction in a row after the shenanigans of the first auction sale that didn't happen. Opening bid amounts have dropped from $950 on March 29 to $285 in the April 26, 28 and 29 auctions. Most have been 1-day events; none received a single bid.

I can't tell if you have a 3AW1 or not from your photos. However; what I'm pretty sure about is that the "dot" above the top arrowhead is not "The Dot" of the 3AW1/2/3. Your dot is in the wrong location. It is close, but close does not mean the same. Sorry Please post more clear photos when you get...

Re: Do you think the 1899-o VAM-10 is underappreciated ?

No I don't, not even just a little. In fact, I thought you were joking when you said PCGS attributes them, so I had to look. I'm totally clueless to understand why they do. A slanted date + a tilted mintmark add up to about 0.1 on a scale of 10 for me in terms of interesting and desirable. At least ...

The only thing I see in your photo is 880 and part of a star. Although the bottom of the 0 is doubled and so is the outside left curve of the top loop in the 2nd 8.
