If true and lasting that's the best news I've heard in a while aside my new nephew being born the other day :)

Re: Getting All of Us Back

Agreed. Growth is key. That's why I push ideas for areas where I see making an attribution easier as well as pushing a group effort to not be so against helping with valuation advice. Two things that, in my opinion, will go a LONG way. The market is heating up right now and newbies making money on V...

Re: 81o w/ Heavily Beveled Liberty Bust

Thanks for the double confirmation Hawk. How's the beveling on mine compared to your 3; especially above the cap? Maybe send one or all 3 to Leroy on your next sub for an official revision if you think it prudent for the official record? Or at least add the verbiage to the 57 page so it will pop on ...

Re: Neat Long Beach exo Newps...

Thanks guys. They really are neat. And it would be amazing to positively ID each Morgan die pair assuming they were used in production AND have been studied & cataloged but I fear that would take a much better, more technical VAMmer than I am, currently. I'll add some pup pics but you'll see what I ...

Re: 1882O/S VAM-3 EDS??? NOT SURE IF FAKE

You nailed it, it's VAM shorthand. v3= VAM 3... VotM (VAM of the Month) is a play on our showcase game VotW (VAM of the Week)

Re: Neat Long Beach exo Newps...

It was the first thing I thought about when I saw it in the case, obviously ;) 8-) But haven't had the time yet. That reverse die is insanely pitted but the pitting happened after the cancellation as there is pitting on the sides of the X.

Re: A Super CD list question..

Ah. I wasn't thinking 3 dimensionality lee, ie that the 2A and 32 were already known when the 28A was put on the list. Seems kind of odd if that was the case but it makes more sense to me now. About doing a set eventually, I might go with the Super CD but when my finances improve. Right now my buyin...

Neat Long Beach exo Newps...

Thought you guys would appriciate these and might like to see em. Got them for a steal. The dealer had no clue that the 2oz Morgan was struck with authentic US Mint cancelled dies and the massively awesome double struck brockage silver round was had for just a tad over spot from same dealer. They're...

Re: 81o w/ Heavily Beveled Liberty Bust

Not to beat a dead horse, but there are a lot of features here that fit with V57, but I would like to see a larger full shot of the obverse. Something doesn't look quite right when I compare it to the discovery coin. Can we get a large full coin on the obverse? Hope these help Hawk. If you want tho...

Re: A Super CD list question..

Thanks guys. I figured it was probably Mark's baby. Lee, that sucks. Why wouldn't it? The big, fat, bordering on insane G clash is the money shot and the sole reason it made the list, right. So why wouldn't other pairings with different reverses that still have the insane G qualify? I picked up a se...

A Super CD list question..

Hey guys, a couple of questions if someone can help. Who put together the Super CD set and, on a more specific level, do obverse dies in the set that are the "money" die that were switched out with a new reverse still belong on the list similar to what happens with the top-100 for instance. Case in ...

Re: I knew it was too easy....

Haha. Thanks Mitch. I know. It was more about how it happened. I was specifically looking for it and on the first damn table I sat at I *almost* found it. How freaking strange is that. Only thing better would be it being the 44 and not the 45 or 101. Dennis, thanks for the extra PUPs to look for. I ...

I knew it was too easy....

So check this out guys. I got to long beach and my secondary mission was to cherry a valuable coin but specifically going after a 21p v44, mission style. And wouldn't you know it, the very first table I sat at I flipped every 21 in the book looking for the die scratch, every damn one. I was on a mis...
