Nice reflection.
Sorry for your lost, and congratulation on your gain.
In your extended family that is.

I lost a younger sister and a Aunt in the last two weeks.

Thanks Vam-mysterio and vampicker, for your help.
I believe it is a VAM-24A.

Re: Possible new 1879-S R-78

Thanks, gentlemen for taking a look. I do not see the die markers in the upper part of the RT or the lower part of the T. If it would turnout to be VAM-34A, it may be needed for a clearer revision on the profile and the rear of the cap and a note about the right wing gouge/scratch. I just don't see ...

Re: Possible new 1879-S R-78

This example has an open 9, and a more broken to broken R. So, I started with open 9, nothing. I moved on to Trist (more broken and broken) nothing Checked all listing of for obvious characteristics – Profile and back of cap doubling, nothing. All closed 9’s had solid R’s so that was a no brainer. L...

Re: Possible new 1879-S R-78

Thanks, for taking a look Vam-mysterio.
I am having problem taking detailed close up images.
My camera keeps white-ing out on me.
I will keep trying and post when I can get a clear shot.

Possible new 1879-S R-78

First I want to apologize, that I can only post LFCP. I been having problems with my camera white-ing out when I take close-ups with my stereo scope. This example of the 1879-S with a 1878 reverse has a double profile and cap, which drew my attention. Does anyone know of a 1879-S R78 with a double p...

Great topic guys, I especially liked your final comment Dennis, "I keep buying coins I like in grades that I couldn't own before. I do it because I want to; no other reason. I sell my extras to take advantage of opportunities, regardless of the outcome. Enjoyment is the value I get out of VAMs. How ...

1881-S VAM-67 Doubled 18, S Tilted Left/ 1B Rev.

While cataloging a few hundred Morgan's I came across a 1881-S VAM-67. Well, while studying her, I noticed note 3 on the page, that said to look out for the VAM-1B reverse. I did and I believe it does have the v1B reverse, but and it's a big but, the area of the right wing appears to have had the ch...

Re: Need help with 1921-D Labeling Question

Thank you all for replying.
I ended up labeling her VAM-1AT EDS no break at O.
I have a VAM-1AT with the break, so I don't mix them up.
