I don’t know what you mean by “in-hand” specimens?

Re: 1923 Unlisted Die Break?

Looks familiar. Not listable, but definitely a lock die marker on the vam it belongs to. Can't remember which one it is off the top of my head - I'm sure vampicker or messydesk will know.

Re: 1880 vam 39a strike?

Probably just the coin itself rather than the date/mm or particular vam. I've got a few original skin virgin 80p's in my grading pile, they generally have the look of a 86p or other common P mint.

Does anyone here do significant grading volume? Any P or N registered dealers?

TPG Question

To those who've submitted coins in the past few months - who is grading dollars harder right now? N or P? I know usually P grades more conservatively, but I've been seeing some pretty loosely graded coins from P lately. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Re: HA Shipping Delay

Cool coin! HA is moving into a new office closer to the DFW airport. I imagine moving their inventory securely is a bit more complex than throwing a Pelican case into your trunk and driving across town. Of course, it'd be nice if they actually let winning bidders know to expect a shipping delay bec...

Re: Anyone want to offer grades or vam on this

Beautiful specimen. Unfortunately it's been lightly cleaned (and it swam in the ezest a little too long). Like vam-mysterio said - AU details. But at least it's not ugly. Close up photo of the 5 in the date, area where the field meets the neck, and the hair vee would help. In the $500-$700 range on ...
