That said, it's not hard to get coins holdered by P or N with AT, so long as one is subtle an...

Re: 1888 AT or NT?

Probably NT but they won't like it because the colors. You can make coins like that with fuming (where the spaces around the devices will be intact as with NT). You can make coins like this with a fairly simple fuming setup. The color spots lend to AT. But in theory, it could be NT. I'd have bagged ...

Re: OT - What would you do?

I would divide it in half, and vacuum pack it food saver bag to prevent rattle, then Express Overnight no insurance, but with signature confirmation. Works everytime. Don't send it on a Friday or a weekend.

Re: Slab-Renew

Haven't used the product in question, but for decades most dealers have used "PlastX" headlight cleaner - works wonders on light to moderate scratches on slabs.

Re: One in one BILLION - literally

Perhaps a large batch of the cc's were disposed of in rural Iowa?

Brian, have you picked any of the shops nearby? If so, did you notice any abundance of the cc's?

Re: One in one BILLION - literally

Dennis, these were all from one lot. The seller has no other coins (I asked). They are from an estate in Iowa (I asked). Statistically speaking, either santa claus just rode by on a unicorn, or perhaps these coins probably once belonged to someone from the original counterfeiting operation.
