Re: O T 1963 WASHINGTON QUARTER DDO

Just came across my 1963 25c DDO 001 FS 101 that I picked raw nine years ago searching Washington quarters. ANACS graded MS 65. Thanks Bert for posting this Double Die Obverse "Reminder". :o :)

Re: 1923 TOP 50 VAM 1V

Nice extra hair die breaks (2) 1923 VAM 1V. Large die breaks are an insatiable quest for me. I recently picked a mint state raw 1923 VAM 1B LDS Peace $ specimen.

Re: Slab-Renew

Just curious if anyone here on VAMWorld has used the product “Slab-Renew”? The product removes scratches and gunk on slabs for coins. I tried it on PCGS, ANACS, ICG and NGC slabs and it works great. Only thing you need to be careful is with NGC slabs. You do not want to rub the product directly ont...

Excellent details on photo ! Flow lines below denticles from 3:00 to 9:00 indicate movement of obverse die when strike was initiated. AKA - STRIKE DOUBLING

Re: 1884-o ? 23b Does it matter?

I find cracks on coins interesting. This coin supposedly came out of a complete roll, all the same date and mint. It would be interesting to see if any of the others had cracks like this. Die cracks portray the blueprint for many interesting varieties. My post on Key Date 1921 Sleeper Pick contains...

Re: 1884-o ? 23b Does it matter?

Reverse die crack between S and O (STATES OF) shows tiny die chips . The other die crack at ED (UNITED) also shows tiny die chips developing along the crack. These chips are typically an indication of die crack progression . However, there is no field displacement (yet) that can be seen on these two...

Re: 1921 d - VAM 1CQ

Die chip at 5th left star is also visible on slabbed specimen in the VAM 1CQ page. Perhaps, a description of this die chip needs to be included in the 1921 d VAM 1CQ page.
