But you are a collector, not a dealer, so money is not an object. Right?

Re: INTEREST/RARITY

Back to my original quandary. How can one rate a certain variety of coin having only seen one specimen. I agree, there should at least be room for change if need be. Also, are the numbers for both 1 thru 8, with 1 being least and 8 being most?

Re: what does restoration cost at PCGS?

Dennis, Not a direct answer to your question, but the one I had done at you know where was $15. It was a foreign silver dollar with a light glaze of brown toning. It was a shiny beauty when they got through, and they claimed that the final grade was effected by their conservation, as they called it....

INTEREST/RARITY

Greetings World, Would someone please send me a link or explanation of the "I" and "R" designations, that a dummy (me) can understand. Also, I'm thinking that it would take time for a coin to earn its I and R designation, yet I see DC's given #'s from the beginning. How can Interest or rarity be det...

Re: Wow unbelievable

The one I described below went for $93+. Was it a good deal, or did it go low because it was ungraded?

Re: OT, BUT INTERESTING

Thanks Guys, I enjoy showing my pics as well as seeing yours. When putting up a pic, please give at least the state where the pic was taken. My pic was taken in south Mississippi. It was taken 1-8-19 at 230 a m, and in my area, this is a definite shooter. However, in some states, they would be givin...

Re: Wow unbelievable

By the way, there is a 79s vam 46 in a VSS wrapper currently up for auction on the bay (# 123574936335). Bidding is at $1.25. So we know they have a minimum value of $1.25, but I will keep an eye on it.

Re: Wow unbelievable

It looks the value of the subject coin is all over the chart. I have a 79s, NGC MS 61, VSS VAM 43. What could I reasonably expect it to sell for, and how would you market it (auction, buy it now, etc)? I hope I'm not out of line asking questions in this thread. If I am, please send in the right dire...

Re: Anacs yellow/newer holders CAMEO ON hOLDER

Fascinating X 2 !!!!! Would it be correct that PCGS and NGC only use the word "cameo" when describing proof strike coins and not on business strike coins? And while on the subject, does ANACS have a price guide like PCGS and NGC? And finally, are we on the verge of high-jacking morganman's thread?
