By the way, there is a 79s vam 46 in a VSS wrapper currently up for auction on the bay (# 123574936335). Bidding is at $1.25. So we know they have a minimum value of $1.25, but I will keep an eye on it.

Fascinating X 2 !!!!! Would it be correct that PCGS and NGC only use the word "cameo" when describing proof strike coins and not on business strike coins? And while on the subject, does ANACS have a price guide like PCGS and NGC? And finally, are we on the verge of high-jacking morganman's thread?

Thanks Rob. It confused me that none of the above examples included the word cameo. And what made it worse is that I thought "cameo" was used only in the description of proof coins. Your example is the first time I've ever seen the word "cameo" used on a business strike. Fascinating

So the attribution you are looking for is "PL" or "DMPL", and not the vam #. Or maybe better put, we are looking for a condition attribution instead of a vam variation. Am I close?
