Re: Help with this 1904-O

Take a peek at VAM-13. Can't see the rim clearly to help with that.

Re: 1904o need help-vam????

Try the VAM-12 family. The "extra eyebrow" looks like PMD to me.

Re: 1904-O Series Question

There are several VAMs with known rotated dies in the 1904-O series, several over 15 degrees. I don't have any of them memorized, but maybe Kurt does and will come along.

Well, it is a C4/C3 reverse with a normal date placement. Maybe start there.

Buy the Holder, Not the Coin(s)

I picked this up off of GC just because I could. It just struck me as being off mainstream. The coins are a 1902-O VAM-51A and VAM-45 Die Pair 1. Probably paid too much for it. Thought I would share.

I think the Leroy publication "Wonders of Morgan Dollars" fits this objective just fine.

WTB 1902-O VAM-90A

As far as I know, there is only 1 example identified and in existence. If you happen to have another that you can release, please contact me. For that matter, I could also use a 1902-O VAM-96.

Re: 1902-O study dollar?

The gouge shows up on LDS specimens. Can't tell what die state your coin is in. But I am 98% sure that coin is a V44.

Re: 1902-O study dollar?

From here it looks like VAM-44. Probably to LDS to be a VAM-44B. Wonder if there is a die gouge on eagle's chest?

Re: 1902-O study dollar?

Oh I don't know. Let's see a straight on shot of eagle's left wing tip to denticles, below eagle's lower tail feathers, and Liberty's hair below LIB. Let's see what those tell us. But straight on photos please, no angles. While to are at it, let's see a straight on shot of eagle's right wing tip and...
