Trying to finish date / mm set 1891 o

Looking for VAMs 4, 4A, 8C, and 14..... not sure if any of them really exist. Plan to try and work w / LVA when he has time to clear up any possible duplicates, other issues. If you have one of these and are willing to part with, let me know..... Thanks, Jon

Re: Patience, persistence, and a little bit of luck

Then the fun begins, waiting for delivery, hoping the right coin shows up...... I did notice the seller had a second 1891 o, very similar condition ending about an hour later that day. Not wanting to risk a mix-up, I bid that coin up a little, and won it. It actually cost me a dollar more than the 9...

Re: Patience, persistence, and a little bit of luck

Finally after looking at more than a few thousand 1891 o Morgans, this one showed up on E-bay recently. I saw it about 2 hours after it was posted and sent the seller a message right away, hoping to get a buy it now option. No luck, so I placed a small bid and then began 5 days of agony..... waiting...

Re: Patience, persistence, and a little bit of luck

Thanks for the replies.... a little bit of the story... I have been looking for this VAM for a number of years, flipping over every 1891 o to look, hoping it was the one. The obverse markers of the 9a fade out prior to getting to becoming 9b, so it is difficult to spot from an obverse photo. I had o...

Great accomplishment. Hard to imagine the time it took to find all those.

Didn't mean to give away the VAM - so renamed the photo to just include the date / mm

Wandering the Bay during downtime

My stay at home time has led to a little extra time on the search for interesting Morgans to add to my collection. The latest one to arrive at the house was a 1921d VAM 1R (noted in the listing) Perhaps a little later die state? http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compute.amazonaws.com/wiki/1921-D_VAM...

Re: A Time Capsule of Prices

Interesting read.... A number of years back at a garage sale, I picked up a book by Q. David Bowers, "The Coin Dealer Newsletter, a study in Rare Coin Price Performance, 1963 - 1988" It has selected copies of the newsletter from each year, as well as many interesting articles about each years trends...

Re: Link to VAMS by date?

Referring to this? http://ec2-13-58-222-16.us-east-2.compu ... Ms_by_Date It is in the second listing subgroup, second one down on VAMWorld Wiki Home page. Peace VAMs by date are in the third subgroup.
