Re: CLEAN EARS.

Whew. For a second I thought this was a v8 from the title. I've been trying to cherry a v8 (for obvious reasons for those of you who know me) for...EVER. Heck, its just about the only reson I don't just pass by the 80p sections when flipping through raw or slabbed stock... And I have yet to find an...

Take a look at 3FT. It's pretty close, but probably not the right one (the crack doesn't hit the D in the right place).
Ken,
3FT looks like an exact match to the crack hitting the D on the photo labeled "mine".
I think you found it.

Re: Couple of questions regarding 1922 D peace Part 1

I have three questions regarding this coin, but as i can only upload 5 images i have split into 2 posts. Question 1/ Is the reverse showing a clash of the profile of Liberty, or is it a co-incidence related to question 2? Question 2/ What is wrong with the surface of the reverse? It is only noticea...

Nice one for sure Lee.

Thanks Wayne,
There are no LFCPs on the VAM-53 page. Would you please add the LFCPs to the page? Or attach this thread to the page?
Thank you

Re: 1921-p VAM-72A 2 finger guide gouges?

Your photos are good. I'm no good at photos. I'm just happy if the feature that I'm trying to capture shows up. And I can't take full coin photos. Your coin seems to have a nice marker in the gap next to the eagle's left foot. It is a strong vertical line. I tried to match it to one of my D1 reverse...

Well, now i know who one it! That is an awesome coin! Great eye appeal, coupled with rarity. I know who the other bidder was who saw it.
Hi Brian,
I was a pretty aggressive bidder for this one. Glad the other guy gave up before me. :D :D :D

Re: 1921-p VAM-72A 2 finger guide gouges?

Thanks Ijs123. Please take a look at this next photo. It seems it would be easy to get a shot of something that winks at you in bright lite, but that is not the case for me. Notice the clash spot below the A in AMERICA. Only the Vam-3AB and Vam-72A has a clash continuation there that I know of. I w...

Re: Need help identifying this VAM!! 1899-O clashed die

For sure your coin doesn't match VAMs-14/14A1/14A2. I know that the crack through the eagle's right wing looks sort of like VAM-14A2, but it is different. But the important factor is that the date and mm locations are wrong. Your coin is clashed, but the clash is weak. So most likely it doesn't have...

Re: 1921-p VAM-72A 2 finger guide gouges?

This is not a VAM-72A.
It does not have the finger feed gouge or the VAM-72 features.
Sorry that I can not tell you what you have from the given information.
