I was kinda shocked when i saw how big the break was from the t. I have had a few of these but not like that!
I was too. So you would agree with the consensus to send it to Leroy?

Re: 1922 D VAM 2O2 VLDS

Thanks guys. I will send it to Leroy when he is ready to start receiving coins again. Roger I didn't know that about Larry Brigg's. It would be great if his influence gives VAM's a boost in the Cherry Pickers Guide. Actually, Larry is listed as editor, not co-author, but that's a pretty influential...

I say send it to LVA .. The metal displacement is strong . IT is a break not a crack .
Nice coin . I would not left it behind , good pick ..
Now I feel better. Thanks for confirming my feelings about the coin. The dealer knew he had something special and I had to ante up a bit to bring it home.

1922 D VAM 2O2 VLDS

I picked up This 1922 D VAM 2O2 at a B&M today. It has an unlisted die break from the R in Liberty to the rim, Has anyone else seen one of these? Is it worth a future trip to Sidney? All comments welcomed.

jrfaust I say be proud. You have to fail some times. Hey, you were so unique you were published.🐍 Well said Longstrider. Let's see some more more posts. I know they are out there and it will help all of us to make better decisions about what we send to Leroy. Heck, we might even be able to get a li...

Show us your LVA fails

Here is one of mine. In Leroy's return letter he said he would have to see another one. I had seen one in a junk bucket a week after I found this one, but passed on it. I thought better of it and went back to buy it. Of course when I returned it is was gone. :(

Help please with an 1878 7TF

Due to the condition of the coin and my use of a digital microscope the pictures are not great. The coin may be from the 140 series as it has a notched one in the date and what appears to be a partially open o in God and a full r in Trust. What does stand out is the dot in front of Liberty's eye. An...

Re: 1878 VAM 41C MS 65 The Bearded Lady

Thanks Lee. I agree given the rotation it does not appear to be a clash from the reverse wheat wreath. My guess then is it is a strike through and I must have it's first cousin, cause it is on my coin too.

Re: 1878 VAM 41C MS 65 The Bearded Lady

Very impressive Bearded Lady, congrats. What is that below the cap fold down to the tip of the second cotton leaf? Is it a seemingly impossible clash from the reverse wheat wreath or a strike through of some kind? Does it appear on all Bearded Ladies? If so I have never seen anything written about it.
