VAM of the week:
As of today's date (3/9/2014) not a single 1882-s has been featured on VAMworld's VAM Of The Week. That's ending today with the introduction of the 1882-s VAM-1B. Discovered in 2011, the V-1B is a no brainer when it comes to choosing a VAM from the 82-s series. One of four R-6 in the series, it has the only concave obverse, the majority (31 of 35) having doubled or partially doubled dates. 1882-s V-1B has a dish shaped obverse that is easily seen without the use of any magnification. Another known Morgan dollar with this odd feature (believed to occur because of over polishing) is the 1891-s VAM-15. Any others out there that you may know of?
