1922-P VAM-5 Tripled Leaves

Discovered by Jeff Oxman, October 1980.
Split into VAM-5-1 & VAM-5-2 2011
This coin is a Top 50 Peace Dollar VAM.

5-1 II 1 · B2c (Tripled Olive Leaves) I-3 R-4
Obverse II 1 - Different die than VAMs 5A, 5B & 5C. Die marker - Die crack at neck point.
Reverse B2c– Tripled bottom of olive leaves, back of leg feathers, base of right talon and on left rays above tail feathers.
Die marker - Die wear lines thru E in ONE. Same die as VAMs 5A & 5C. Later die state than 5A, earlier than 5C.
5-2 II 1 · B2c (Tripled Olive Leaves, Die Gouge G) I-3 R-5
Obverse II 1 - Vertical die gouge above and below G in GOD.
