1921-P VAM-25A Infrequently Reeded, Doubled Jaw & Left Stars, Die Gouge S, Scribbling Die Scratches
Discovered by Ron Fischer, October 2006.
This coin is a
25A IV19 - D1a (Infrequently Reeded, Doubled Jaw & Left Stars, Die Gouge S, Scribbling Die Scratches) (157) I-3 R-4
Fairly early die states show an oblong die gouge near denticles above left S in States and filled denticles above F in OF. Possibly caused by feed fingers malfunction.
This variety is also known with a grease-filled die on the NE in ONE.
