1904-O VAM-28 Tripled/Doubled Reverse Legend

Discovered by Martin Field, June 1985. Revised 2010.

28 (revised) III2 1 - C4j (Tripled/Doubled Reverse Legend) (181,189) I-2 R-3
Obverse III21 - Overpolished ear. Die Marker - Fine polishing line at top of Liberty forehead.
Reverse C4j - Tripled and doubled UNITED STATES OF AMERICA in radial direction, doubled upper right and left wreaths towards rim and tops of In God We Trust. Likely hub doubling with hub marker of slightly tripled lower serif of N of UNITED.
Die 1 - III O mint mark set slightly to right. Die Marker - Polishing lines in wreath bow, eagle's wings and tail feathers.
