1901-P VAM-16 Doubled Ear

Discovered by Jeff Oxman, October 2001.

This coin is a Hot 50 Morgan VAM

16 III2 2 C4a (Doubled Ear) (189) I-3 R-5
The obverse for VAM-16 is the same as 1901-P VAM-5. Instead of the C4/C3 (2-olive) reverse though, VAM-16 has a single olive C4 reverse.

Comments: PCGS does differentiate between VAM-5 and VAM-16. That was not always the case. Some VAM-16s are in their holders labeled VAM-5.
