1888-P VAM-10 Slanted Date

Discovered by Kirk Duncan, May 1977.

10 (revised) III2 8 - C3a (Slanted Date) (190) I-2 R-5
Obverse III2 8 - Date slanted with last 8 far from rim. Date lateral position is normal.
Die 1 - Die marker - Short vertical fine die scratch left end of cap bottom below ribbon.
Reverse C3a - Die 1 - Die marker - Diagonal polishing lines in eagle's wing-neck gap.

Comments:
1- Multiple Die Pairs do exist for Normal slanted date varieties with no significant markers or doubling
2-VAM 10 revised. Has slanted date in normal lateral position. Strike doubling top of 888. No significant die dblg, gouges or breaks. Added Die 1 die markers for obv & rev. Die scratch bottom of cap not readily visible to naked eye & not listable as sub-variety, but useful as die marker.
