1888-P VAM-10 Slanted Date

Obverse III2 8
- Date slanted with last 8 far from rim. Date lateral position is normal.
Die 1 -
- Short vertical fine die scratch left end of cap bottom below ribbon.
Reverse C3a -
Die 1 -
- Diagonal polishing lines in eagle's wing-neck gap.
Multiple Die Pairs do exist for Normal slanted date varieties with no significant markers or doubling
VAM 10 revised
. Has slanted date in normal lateral position. Strike doubling top of 888. No significant die dblg, gouges or breaks. Added Die 1 die markers for obv & rev. Die scratch bottom of cap not readily visible to naked eye & not listable as sub-variety, but useful as die marker.

Here is another VAM-10 die pair. It was sent to Leroy and he said it matched the plate for VAM-10.
The slightly doubled ear bottom was declined for listing but is a good die marker.
Reverse die markers.

Note the traditional neck clash marks, but also the lack of a clashed "n":
