1884-P VAM-4 Small Dot

Discovered by Francis Klaes, May 1962.

This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM.

4 III2 4 - C3b (Small Dot) (189) I-4 R-4
Obverse III2 3- Small dot after engraver's initial M. Date set further right than normal.
Reverse C3b- Small dot after engraver's initial M. Dot is in slightly different position than VAM-3.

Comments: 1884 VAM-4 Small Dot. This coin shows a small dot near Morgan's M initial at the base of Liberty's neck. Note that VAM-4 is smaller than 1884-P VAM-3 and is closer to the M than the large dot.
