1879-O VAM-14 Doubled 879, Large O

Discovered by Alfred Bonard, January 1974. Revised 2011.

14 III2 9 ∙ C3b (Doubled 879 & Ear, Large O) (176) I-2 R-3
Obverse III2 9 Doubled 879 in date. Slightly doubled 8 at top inside of lower loop, 7 doubled at right side below crossbar and as a short spike on right side of lower serif, 9 doubled slightly on surface at left outside of both loops. Slightly doubled hair edge at top of ear.
Reverse C3b Normal die of C3 type with large IV O centered mint mark.

Comments:
1- This is really easily confused with the 1879-O VAM25.
